Priminister Flaxford's stalwart leadership in the face of a defeatist Government saw Birdlandians rally to the defense of their homeland. (Helping them overlook many of his scandalous extra-marital affairs).  His distinctive bowler hat became a symbol of hope in the dark days of the Weasel Wars.
